"I've been using Scott 89 series frames for 35 years and these new Recoil mold frames have that old-school fit with updated look. I like to have 4 pairs of goggles with me (practice, moto1, moto2, + backup) and that is a LOT more affordable with the Recoil frames than almost any other goggle out there.
The face-foam is much more comfortable than other brands too. Even after long 200 mile - 8 hour rides, day after day after day...
I really like the faux-carbon fiber frames. They look pretty trick."

"I've been using Scott 89's for 3 decades and these lenses are pretty much the same as other lightly tinted lenses. They held up fairly well to scratches and have very good optical clarity. Be careful about tear-off posts though; I initially bought the Works lens on the website and later found out they have the posts. I don't use tear-offs typically, so I had to call Motosport and do an exchange to get the non-post lenses shipped."

I bought the pair on the left in 2002, they lasted 10 years.
"This is my second pair of Tech 8s, the first pair lasted 10 (yes 10) years. I liked the older bootie a little better because it was easier to get back into the boot than the new ankle-and-last style. The old bootie also gave the boots a more plush feel than the new style. Not sure why these are called "light", the weight feels identical to my 2002 pair (I didn't put them on a scale to weigh them though). A nit about the old boots is that the white plastic yellows and disintegrates over time.
I brought my new pair on a 2 week riding trip to the San Rafael swell area in UT. They broke in quickly and were pretty comfortable right away. Even on my last day and after +1200 miles, they were still very comfortable. The new buckles snap down nicely, but I did need to pry a couple of them open at the end of the day a couple times after getting stuck in quicksand earlier in the day. Probably not something many of you will worry about!"
IMS has earned a strong reputation in the motorcycle industry for making outstanding and durable products that handle the abuse of motorcycle racing time after time. IMS Super Stock foot pegs are constructed from 17-4 cast stainless steel, heat treated, powder coated and annealed for maximum strength and durability. Engineered with a wider platform than stock foot pegs, the IMS Super Stock foot pegs are easier on your feet and offer maximum control. The IMS Super Stock foot pegs offer superior grip compared to your motorcycles stock foot pegs. IMS Super Stock foot pegs are less expensive than replacement stock foot pegs. Sold as a pair.
"I had my eye on these IMS pegs for a couple years for my trail bike. I finally bought a pair for a recent 10 day Utah desert riding trip and got in 1200 miles with the pegs. Here are my thoughts: 1) the front edge is in the same location forward as the stock pegs. 2) the surface is about 10mm taller than stock. 3) the back edge of the peg is up 10mm and back about 25mm farther than the stock pegs. 4) they extend about 15mm farther out than the stock pegs.
Since they stick out farther I hit them a lot while climbing and descending steep, rocky (bigger than basket ball size) mining roads. Didn't stop me, but it was irritating.
The taller pegs caused my center of gravity to be higher. Wasn't really noticeable, but higher CG is not good.
I liked my weight being back farther while descending very steep trails and in track-stands to choose lines, trials bike style.
Because they are higher and stick out farther, I occasionally smacked my shin while kick starting. That part sucks. I had a huge lump on my right tibia for several days. The skinny new shin plate on the Alpinestar Tech 8's have a soft spot right where my shin hits this peg - so very little protection from my boots. I made sure I sat back pretty far before kicking, which helped."
Champions Choice Cable Lube is an excellent cable lubricant that cleans, purges and lubricates in seconds. It leaves a non-drying, ultra-thin film that penetrates, lubricates, displaces moisture and prevents rust and corrosion. Lubricates and rust-proofs moving parts even at temperatures below zero. 6.25 ounce can. For use on all cables.
"This is the best cable lube I've ever used. Regular cleaning and using this lube keeps my cables in better than new condition. I still have the original clutch and throttle cables on my '99 XR400 Utah desert bike with 13 years and thousands of dusty, sandy, (and occasional wet and quicksand-y) miles."

"This is a GREAT tool. It works perfectly, has an awesome finish, and feels like an expensive tool. I wish I'd bought one years ago (but I think it was just recently manufactured)."

awesome, stock xr400 pegs suck and these are a great improvement. pegs have a great look to them (beautiful stainless) and were extremely easy to get on. if you have a hard time sticking to your present pegs then these are the trick. the price was definitely worth it and the handling is a great improvement over stock, definitely a must get.

I'm planning to replace my worn pegs on my trusty XR400 Utah desert bike. Are the Pro Series 4 pegs the same height/position as the stockers?
