"Perfect size for all the tools and small spares I like to carry. The strap design allows you to cinch everything down snug so nothing is flopping around. Probably too small if you want to carry tubes, but I carry those in my hydro pack. Stays in place well."

"Installed a new set of the Maxxis Desert ITs for a 1000 mile trip in Baja. I wanted a tire that would last and had high hopes for this one, based on reviews. After 200 miles (max speeds around 60-65mph), I was missing two center lugs, torn off right down to the case. A third lug went shortly after. Had to finish the trip on a well-used Dunlop I was able to find in a small town, where I left the Maxxis rear (we did not have a support vehicle to carry it). Out of 5 riders on nearly identical KTM 525s and 450s, 3 were running Maxxis Desert IT or regular IT, and EVERY Maxxis rider ended up missing 3 or more lugs on the rear tires. The 2 riders on Bridgestone and Michelin had NO problems, and I had NO problems with my used Dunlop. I contacted Maxxis and they let me know the tire would need to be returned to the retailer to see if it would be covered under warranty. Obviously, I can’t accommodate that requirement, so I’m left to share my story with other riders, and hopefully keep them from a similar experience. Because the same problem happened on two different Maxxis models and three different tires , I will never buy another Maxxis tire. Photo is rear after 200 miles, missing 2 lugs. The front tire was fine."

"I put every tool I need, spare hardware, and pump in this bag, and it wasn't full enough. If it's not more filled, it's not tight and snug, and bounces around. I carry a hydration backpack as well, so prefer to carry tubes on my shoulders. Without a tube or two, this hip pack is just too big. If you want to carry a ton of stuff in your hip pack, this one will certainly do. Looks like it's well built."

"I bought a pair of these (2007) and they never left the garage. as soon as i stood up, i could tell they wouldn't work. they don't straighten enough to stand on the pegs. both top and bottom dig into your thigh and shin. i heard the FLY gaurds like this don't do that, so will be trying those next."

"As I stated in my review of the mount, it was not a tight fit like the spacer it needed to replace. The wheel bearings ride on this thing, and will quickly be pounded to bits. Acerbis didn't have an answer as to why it would fit so poorly, so I ended up returning the whole thing."

"This item replaces the stock spacer. However, the tolerances are way off. It was way, way loose, which will end up pounding your wheel bearings to bits. When properly installed, the wheel was so loose it rocked side to side, as if the bearings were shot (the bike is new). Bummer, I wanted this to work out."

"My KTM valves require a .12mm (or approx .005") blade, but this item has only .11mm and .15mm. My Craftsman guage has .005", so this unit will end up sitting in the back of a drawer somewhere."
