The following features are integral to the Renthal 7/8" handlebars: 7/8" (22 mm) external diameter to fit most standard-sized clamps and controls. 7010 T6 aluminum - which Renthal has exclusive rights to - is a specially developed alloy for the manufacture of handlebars. High impact strength, lightweight and excellent vibration dampening. Shot peened surface finish to help prevent fatigue failure. Knurling - grip end only - increases bonding between bar and grip. No knurling in clamp area, this could cause stress on the riser and lead to fatigue failure. Anodizing - a 15 step anodizing process forms an integral coating giving protection against corrosion. Renthals copyrighted, bonded lightweight single bolt clamping system for the cross-brace* greatly increases strength whilst still allowing flex. Laser-etched positioning grid. The highest quality - 35 individual steps / processes required in the production of each bar and 58 separate quality checks made. Constructed from injected PU for solid colors and a special blend of Nylons and PU for the clear, the V2 Roost Guard is sturdy enough to deflect most debris thrown at it. Adjustable soft shoulder heights is achieved by repositioning the wide woven straps and clips. Comfortable Bio-Foam edging and padding surrounds the V2 and is held in place with our unique PU molded pins. The back features a Poly hinge and allows the plastic to move and follow the body in motion. Soft and flexible TPR panels are sewn in place over the lower chest and back. Multiple large vents holes and an aerodynamic rear 'hump' allow cooling air to flow over, in and through the V2. Side adjustment is achieved by sliding the 'D' ring along the woven Jacquard strap.
