cool and comfortable

"Nice socks to keep your feet cool. I was worried about durability because they are thinner than every other MX socks I've owned but for no reason. After a few dozen rides and washes, at this point, they are still in almost like new condition. There's more padding around the foot, where needed, and less material around the shins which is perfect. They are great at keeping my feet as cool as can be in a MX boot in Las Vegas and even out perform my Fox Coolmax socks, my former favorite. I wear a size 10 shoe and the L/XL fits my perfectly. Those who are up to 2 sizes smaller/bigger could probably fit this same sock."

"I always dump the weak hip pads in my riding pants and have been wearing these for a few years now. Traditional Alpinestars quality and durability. Order a size up for a true fit. Great padding, protection and comfort for all day riding. My previous pairs have lasted forever before finally wearing out around the padding areas where the pads started to come out of the stitching AFTER hundreds of washings. I STILL have and wear my first pair on extended riding camping trips for backups. You won't regret the purchase!"

grip for days

"I switched from the Bridgestone 403/404 combo to the MX51 combo and the Dunlops just have more grip everywhere, period. While the Bridgestone is a good tire, these give me more grip on my '08 YZF450 especially while leaned over and on the gas. I only gave a 4 for durability because it is the medium compound and doesn't last as long as the MX71 but for a medium tire the last for my track and desert riding is superior. A 4 for ease of install because, well, it's tires and bloody knuckles are the norm, lol. You'll feel like you can't do any wrong with the grip, particularly when new!"

sweet CF peices!

"I have used Light Speed CF peices on my last bike and my current '08 YZF450 and cannot complain one bit. This caliper and brake disk set offer good protection, light weight and look sick on the bike, especially with my other Light Speed peices (skid plate, sprocket cover, front brake, engine guard, chain guide). I have never had a peice crack or fail on me and have tested quite a bit with some crashes on the track in the desert around Las Vegas and Cali. Install couldn't be any easier, take off a few bolts, remove the old, bolts right back on."

"I only rated this a 4 just because it feels a little flimsy. However, this is the second one I've purchased (on 2 different bikes) and do not have any complaints. The first I had on a YZF426 and it never failed me so I bought another for my YZF450. Although it feels flimsy, it has never let me down in protection from rocks and it looks bad a** with the other Light Speed CF peices that I have purchased (skid plate, chain block, front brake disc cover, rear brake and rotor). Saves a little weight and looks and performs great!"

"Not only does this shifter look much better than stock, it performs much better also. I get much better feel from the larger tip and have not missed a shift yet since installing it on my '08 YZF450. Color is holding and not scratched, at all, after some put downs on the track and in the sometimes rocky desert. Quick and easy install and fit too, just a little adjusting to get it just right."

"I've always like Fly and Thor gear for the fit (a little more roomy) and was VERY pleasantly surprised with this One Yamaha set. I had to order one size up in pants and jersey but this is extremely comfortable and light gear and I ride track and trail in Las Vegas. I will buy another set in the other color soon."

"I've never had One gear (I like Thor&Fly) but I will be getting more. This set is very comfortable and has cleaned up well after many washes. It is light weight and breathable which is nice in the desert and at the track. Shirt runs about the same size (XL) for me but had to get a 38 pant when I'm normally a 36. Love the Yamaha badging and I intend to get another set of the One Carbon gear!"
