Precision CNC manufactured to extremely high tolerances from a high strength, specially enhanced 7075 T6 aluminum alloy. Unequaled accuracy of fit, tooth profile and concentricity for longevity and maximum power transfer. Maximum reduction of unsprung revolving weight at the rear wheel, through a choice of materials and design insures maximum power transfer. Renthal rear chainwheels are 33% lighter than steel yet incredibly durable. Hard anodized finish.
"This is the lightest rear sprocket ever! ( yes 0.7lbs) You will feel then weight reduction upon accelerating. Motosport hands down has the BESTpricing available. My sprocket came in a different color than pictured, a super-sexy anoidized gold which I like better than the black. If you are buying for performance like I am, look no further. If you want to buy for looks, than buy one of those "chromed out poorly engineered, heavy gears to match your polished out frame and extendended swingarms that accelerates like a hybrid mini van". I have done alot of research on rear sprockets and Renthal is the only company who cuts out there gears out of an aluminum block rather than stamped gears which puts hairline cracks in the sprockets. You might spend a little more $ for a Renthal, but you are buying a superior product, you do get what you pay for. And Motosport has super fast and reliable shipping."
When looking to replace your front sprocket, Renthal front sprockets are an easy choice because of their strength and inexpensive price tag. Also known as "chainwheels", Renthal front sprockets are precision manufactured to withstand the rigors of supercross, motocross, and enduro racing. Renthal Front Sprockets are made out of 655M13 nickel-chrome-molybdenum alloy steel. What does that mean to you? Ultimate strength and hardness. Self-cleaning mud grooves prevent the build up of dirt. Precision machining to extremely tight tolerances ensures that Renthal front sprockets are always within spec. "I highly recomend this front sprocket. Its a bit lighter than the oem that it replaced. It fits a little sloppy than the stock when I tightened it down. Its to allow the chain to not bind. Seems to be working fine, I broke it in on the track and it held up perfectly."
D.I.D is the number one motorcycle chain in the world. D.I.D chains are used by factory races teams from all manufacturers in race series everywhere. The D.I.D ERV3 X-ring chain is the ultimate high-performance, lightweight, low-friction race chain available and is used extensively by many off-road race teams. The ERV3 X-ring chain utilizes D.I.Ds patented X-ring technology which reduces friction by 50% over standard O-ring chains for minimized power loss. The pins on the ERV3 X-ring chain have been put through a patented heat-treatment process to produce a pin that is 1.5 times harder than conventional pins. The result is a chain that is significantly stronger and offers better wear resistance than many other chains on the market. D.I.D ERV3 X-ring chains feature a gold-plated finish that resists rust and adds a little style to your motorcycle or ATV. Exclusively designed for motorcycle racing. High performance, lightweight and low friction chain provides the winning edge in World Class competition. Features gold color plates. Average tensile strength of 8,650 pounds. Wear life index: 3100. For 250 - 750cc Rally, 750cc Superbike and 250 - 750cc Endurance applications. Weight (per 100 links): 3.30 pounds. Includes a rivet-style master link. 120 links. Half the Power Loss - Compared with Normal O-ring chains, D.I.Ds patented X-Ring construction reduces friction by twisting between the side plates instead of being squashed. Normal O-rings and other makers modified O-rings have squashed points that increase friction. The twisting action of the X-Ring disperses the pressure and minimizes power loss. 1.5 to 2 Times Longer Wear Resistance - Compared with Normal O-ring chains, the X-Rings four contact points greatly increase its sealing performance. This keeps the dirt out and the lubrication in much better than any other O-ring. X-Rings have the greatest wear resistance of any other type of O-ring or non-O-ring chain. Note for installing X-ring chains: As X-ring chains are wider than standard roller chains, when fitting an X-ring chain to a motorcycle that was fitted with a non O-ring chain as original equipment, it is essential to check that there is proper clearance of the engine cases near the countershaft sprocket and any other places of close contact. Failure to do so could result in damage to the chain and motorcycle and could ultimately cause the chain to fail.
"This is the best chain ever. Its strong, light weight, and is extremely sexy in gold. I will not use another chain. Plus, Motosport has the best price anywhere (big ups to Motosport). I also needed it in less than a week to get it ready for a track day I had scheduled, they guaranteed it would come on a given day, it came 3 days earlier.
Big tip: lube that chain every other big, long ride or track day/ race when bike and chain is hot for long sprocket and chain life."
