CR500AFC's Reviews

In 1991, Pro Taper introduced the 1-1/8-inch Taperwall handlebar and the industry hasnt been the same since. The Corona, CA based company expanded its product line to include clutches, sprockets and grips, among others, but Pro Taper never turned its back on what landed them in the motocross world. The Pro Taper Contour Handlebar - Oversized is a best seller and made with the same quality as its Standard 7/8-inch Pro Taper brother, its just, well, oversized! Check out the features that come with this solid beast and youll understand why its a must-have on the race course by riders like Nate Adams, Levi Sherwood and Robbie Maddison. Pro Taper Contour Handlebars - Oversized 1-1/8" features: Made with aerospace-grade aluminum and 5 mm wall tubing. Chemically applied scratch and peel-resistant graphics. Knurled clutch side for secure grip hold. 1/4" cut guides for precise width modification. Includes high-density molded pad. Bend and color for every application. Note: Pro Taper Contour Handlebars require the use of 1-1/8 inch handlebar clamps (sold separately).

"I have been riding with these bars for quite a while now and love the way they feel and look but up untill recently i could not really tell how strong they were. I finally had the big spill on the ole 500AF. The bars did bend but no where near as much as the rest of the bike did. This was about a 60mph spill after i got caught up in some very deep square edged holes. I am going to put another set of these bars on my machine."
